Justification:

We interviewed 11 students from 8th grade in high school, we found some good readers, so in general there were no problems while we asked the questions, these students share the same classroom and besides they’re also friends.

Our purpose:

To define the necessity of reading in other grades, with questions we asked, we obtained information about what they read and their opinion about definitions: read, reader, text.

Important information about the students interviewed:

They all live in Jalisco, Tlajomulco de Zuñiga or Zapopan; their age is between 13 and 14, there were 3 girls and 8 boys and all of them consider themselves good or constant readers

Results

We found 1 student who doesn’t like reading, which wasn’t that surprising because of all his answers during the interview.

.By these answers we concluded that their meaning of reading had to do with a book. The question that told us everything was, “What does reading mean?” the next answers were the most important because of how they answer

Most of them know the general idea about what reading is, but they also think you need to have a book for reading, they are only thinking about literature and not in other types of texts, so that's their necessity. They need to understand what is reading and that there are many ways and types of lectures, they read in news, in TV, in the internet, etc, so they get to know that reading is important society and communication.
